Dewey is proud of the continued dedication from the members of Dewey's Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) team who were recognized by Sacramento State's College of Education as the 2026 Elementary School Partner of the Year. This prestigious award celebrates schools and educators who make exceptional contributions to preparing the next generation of teachers and specialists.
Thank you and Congratulations to Mr. Shane Molaison, Ms. Nadia Pella, Ms. Megan Leschly, and Ms. Tasha Unninayar for their dedication to education and their well-deserved recognition.
Sacramento State highlighted their outstanding mentorship, expertise, and commitment to supporting teacher candidates and future educators in Deaf Studies and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing credential programs.
Through their work, these educators provide invaluable hands-on learning experiences, model best instructional practices, and help bridge the gap between university coursework and real-world classroom experiences. Their dedication not only supports Dewey students but also strengthens the preparation of future Teachers of the Deaf throughout our region.
This recognition reflects the strength of Dewey's Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing program and our school's commitment to creating inclusive, high-quality learning environments where all students can thrive.
